sourcing

we source with intention

Every fleece we work with has a story, and we make it our mission to know that story from the very beginning. Each one can be traced back to a single flock, and often to a single sheep. This direct connection to our sources allows us to ensure the well-being of the animals, and to build trusted relationships with shepherds and producers who share our values of sustainability, inclusivity, and care for the land.

We source most of our wool domestically, with a focus on local producers, to support nearby farms and reduce our carbon footprint. We also source from select flocks around the world who offer unique and less common fleeces. We believe working with these wools is one of the best ways to learn about them, and we’re eager to get them into the hands of people who appreciate them as much as we do!

At the heart of our sourcing is stewardship. We have a deep responsibility to the land, the animals, and the people who care for them. We aim to honor that responsibility by sourcing with care, working with integrity, and doing our part to leave the world a little better than we found it.

our sources

We've had the opportunity to work with some incredible wool, grown by dedicated shepherds and farmers. Our sources are not a trade secret - we believe in the power of connection, and in bringing you closer to the people (and sheep) growing your wool.
