Who We Are
I'm Victoria. I'm a knitter, spinner, hand-processer, and photographer, based in the Pacific Northwest. I live in a mid-century home overlooking the Cascades along with my husband, Stef, and our two dogs, Nina and Bennie.
In a lot of ways, it's a one-woman show around here. I source all of the wool that comes into the shop, curate the blends that go to the mill, and hand process the rest. I take the shop photos, manage my website, and pack and ship all orders.
I do a lot, but it would be unfair to say I do it alone. My husband is my biggest supporter and advocate. He encourages my creativity, brings me coffee when I'm having a late night at the carder, and listens attentively as I wax poetic about a gorgeous fleece (which happens often). He routinely takes on the invisible work, freeing me up to spend more time doing what I love.
I'm also deeply indebted to the wool community, shepherds and makers alike. There are so many people doing incredible work to put a spotlight on wool, and there's an endless amount of kindness and knowledge to be shared. Wool people truly are one of a kind.
Our Values
We believe that creativity thrives in community, and that community should be welcoming to all. Our space is built for makers and wool-lovers of all backgrounds, and we are committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels respected, safe and valued.
As a woman-owned business, we proudly support other women- and minority-owned businesses. We stand in solidarity with the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, and we do not tolerate hate, discrimination, or exclusion in any form, either on our shop or social media.
We believe in the power of purchasing choices. That means we thoughtfully source our wool and materials and do not knowingly work with vendors or producers whose values conflict with our own.
We always aim to do better. If you see an opportunity for us to be a better partner, please let us know. Everyone deserves to feel at home in this community. We're glad you're here.
